Founding Miner terms
Last updated: 3 November 2026. Version 2.7. Founding Miners, Season 1.
These terms are an agreement between you and Peryn, the operator of the Peryn service ("Peryn", "we"). They add to our terms of service and our acceptable use policy. Version 2.7 replaces version 2.6 of 1 November 2026.
1. Who
- A Peryn account becomes a Founding Miner of Season 1 when it claims the Founding Miner badge in the miner portal.
- Claims close at Pearl's FP8 upgrade block: the first block at Pearl's FP8 upgrade height, at the time in its header as our pool records it. Only accounts created before that time can claim, and no claim counts at or after it.
- We open and close claims and may cap the number of Founding Miners. The miner portal says when claims are open.
- Accounts that we, our staff or our own GPUs use do not qualify.
2. Your Founding address
- A Founding Miner has one $PEARL address for its Founding Miner fees, its Founding address. You give it in your account when you claim the badge, and it is registered when you click the link we email to your account. No signature is needed.
- You can change your Founding address in your account at any time, the same way. The new address replaces the old one from the moment you click the link; what was mined to the old address before then keeps the rate it had.
- An address belongs to one account at a time: the first account to confirm it keeps it. If you believe an address registered on another account is yours, contact support. We decide on the evidence we have, may move the address to your account, and tell both accounts by e-mail.
- The Founding Miner fees apply to a registered address from its registration, whatever miner sends it the work.
- Versions 2.4 to 2.6 applied them only once the address had received work from your account's own machines or from our agent. Where we charged a registered address more than the Founding Miner fees because of that, we credited the difference to that address on 3 November 2026.
- Founding Miners that verified more than one address with signatures before version 2.2 keep them.
3. Fees
- On every machine of your account and on your Founding address, from when they qualify (section 2) until six calendar months after the upgrade block's time: 0% on PPLNS and 0.5% on PPS+ (Predictable payouts, the default), never more than the PPS+ fee everyone else pays at the time.
- After that, the standard fees apply: 1% on PPS+ and 1% on PPLNS (terms of service, section 12.4).
- The fee follows the time of each block (PPLNS) and crediting period (PPS+), as our pool records it.
4. Badge
- The Founding Miner badge, Season 1, is permanent. It stays on your account and on the public page of your Founding address.
- The badge has no cash value and gives no other right.
5. GPU Clouds
- The Founding Miner terms do not combine with a cloud agreement: the $PEARL mined by a GPU Clouds account's machines pays the Duplex fee; your other mining keeps the Founding Miner rate.
6. Everything else
- Pool rules and payouts are as in the terms of service, section 12.
- We may update these terms with notice in the miner portal, but never retroactively for periods already earned.
- Section 17 of the terms of service (law and disputes) applies to these terms.
- Questions about these terms: legal@peryn.ai. Everything else: hello@peryn.ai.
